What is OBS Studio?

OBS Studio is free and open source software for video recording and live streaming. It is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.

The three main uses for OBS Studio are:

  1. Recording video to your local computer
  2. Livestreaming
  3. Virtual camera: Changing the way you appear on web camera meetings

Installing OBS Studio

 You can download OBS Studio from OBSProject.com

  1.  Go to OBSProject.com 
  2. Select your Operating System from the available options 
  3. The installation file will download to your computer. Once it has finished downloading run the program. 
  4. The setup will guide you through installing OBS Studio. Click Next. 
  5. Review the license terms before installing OBS Studio. Click Next. 
  6. Choose the install location and ensure you have sufficient space to install the program. Click Install.
